Part 141

We are an FAA certified Part 141 Helicopter Flight School.

Part 141 training means following a flight training curriculum that has been approved and certified by the FAA. It provides a structured learning approach for students. There are many requirements that have to be met to become a Part 141 Flight School. These requirements have to be maintained to retain the certification.

For example, our Chief Flight Instructor has to take annual checkrides with the local FAA Examiner. Our helicopter flight school is subject to regular and random FAA inspections of school facilities, aircraft, student training records and instructor records. This means that our Instructors and Flight School have to meet the highest possible standards in well maintained aircraft at all times. It also means that all of our students benefit from this, regardless of whether you choose to do Part 61 or Part 141 training.

In addition to meeting the high standards required by the FAA, All American Helicopters is approved to teach Veterans. Eligible VA students are reimbursed up to 60% of their flight training costs for any ratings after Private Pilot. Gene LaCoste, our Chief Pilot /Chief Flight Instructor served 33 years in the army and attained the rank of General (two star). Gene and All American Helicopters, LLC are proud to support those who have served and are currently serving their country. This additional approval from the VA subjects our Flight School to more inspections and regulations. Once again, all students benefit from the higher standards we maintain.

Veterans using their GI Bill benefits are required to do their training at a Part 141 Flight School.

International students are required to do their training at a Part 141 Flight School.

Please note that the same exams have to be passed, regardless of whether you are a Part 61 or Part 141 student. This includes the written, practical test as well as the oral on your checkride. The checkride is the same too. There is no differentiation made on your license that states whether you were a Part 61 or Part 141 student.
