About Us

We occupy a hangar on the east side of the Denton Municipal Airport in Denton, TX. This hangar houses our aircraft and our office and classroom. Our facilites are comfortable and inviting, with everything you need to be successful. While you are training with us, you will have access to DSL internet and pre-loaded software to prepare for your written exams. We have an additional classroom at the FBO and make full use of their facilities for real-time weather, flight briefing, snacks, etc.

We are an FAA approved Part 141 Flight School. We are also proud to have been approved by the Texas Veterans Commission to provide flight training to veterans under the Montgomery GI Bill. Our Part 141 Certificate and Veteran's approval subject us to many inspections, some random, others scheduled. These inspections confirm the first-rate standards we maintain at all times.

Our Chief Pilot/Chief Flight Instructor, Gene LaCoste, has thousands of hours and is military trained (two star General). In addition to his thousands of hours of real life experience, Gene has to meet stringent requirements including taking annual checkrides with the local FAA examiner.

We care about our students receiving the best possible training in a safe environment. Our equipment is maintained to the highest standards. We contract our maintenance out to Aircraft Precision Maintenance Inc. They are an established full service aviation repair and inspection center, handling piston and light turbine aircraft. They have over 22 combined years of experience and are well known and respected for exceptional services provided.
